I kept the PureAroma 550 Connected on my bedside table for several weeks, and it ended up being more of an evening mood device than a genuine bedroom humidifier. The 500 ml tank lasts a good ten hours or so on the low setting, plenty to get through the night without it switching itself off. Initial Bluetooth pairing with the app took two attempts before it worked properly, worth knowing in advance. Once connected, the settings for colour, timer and intensity are straightforward, and the built-in speaker turned out to be a genuinely pleasant surprise, good enough for a podcast or a gentle playlist without reaching for a separate speaker. On the humidification side, the effect stays modest in a room over 20 m², and it is clearly not the tool to fix genuinely dry winter air in a large living room. For a bedroom or a home office, though, it does a solid job as an affordable mood device.
