Installation was no different from any standard split, with the factory pre-charge covering the short run to the outdoor wall without extra hassle. Once running, the room dropped from 28 to 23°C (82 to 73°F) in about half an hour, with measured noise around 24 to 26 dB(A) on low fan speed, decent without being remarkable. With MELCloud WiFi not fitted as standard, the supplied infrared remote is the only way to control it out of the box, which can catch you off guard if you're used to a more connected model. Heating mode proved effective even on a cool evening. For a mid-sized room and a tight budget, this model simply gets the job done without trying to impress.
