Guillaume Hoarau, Content & Publishing Manager

Guillaume Hoarau, whom the whole team calls “16” (a nod to his favorite beer, whose name ends in 1664), is All Cool's content and publishing manager. He sets the editorial tone for the site, reviews and signs off on every article before it goes live, and makes sure product sheets and guides stay honest and useful, without needless jargon or empty superlatives. His goal: every reader should walk away with a concrete answer to their question, whether it involves a cooler, a portable air conditioner or a simple camping accessory.

A committed fan of wild camping and hiking, Guillaume is also the natural tester for the Accessories category: covers, small parts and add-on gear that travel alongside coolers and portable air conditioners in the field. His method never changes: he takes the gear out on trips rather than testing it at a desk. The story that stuck to him goes back to a canoe bivouac on the Dordogne river, where he compared a good half-dozen USB camping fans between rain showers, sorting the quietest from the most enduring. Ever since, whenever a new accessory needs testing, he is the first person the team turns to.

That role is no accident: Guillaume holds a very similar editorial position at Best Batteries, All Cool's sister site devoted to batteries and portable power, where he is content manager and the resident power bank specialist. Two different worlds, coolers and batteries, but the same rule: test in real conditions before writing a single line.

Away from the office, Guillaume lives his outdoor passion to the full. A dedicated prepper with a strong interest in survivalism, he has spent the past few years restoring an old farmhouse he dreams of making fully self-sufficient: already 100% energy-independent thanks to solar power, wind power and storage batteries. In a relationship with no children, he spends most of his free time on this project and on his next bivouac trips, always with an accessory or two to test in his pack.

Guillaume has carried out 6 product tests in the Accessories category.
