I brought it along for three weeks down the Atlantic coast, van fitted with solar panels on the roof, with one specific thing to check: whether the dual zone really held up over time. The result was convincing: freezer compartment set to -18°C on one side for fish caught along the way, fridge compartment at +4°C on the other for daily fresh food, with neither setting ever bleeding into the other. The vacuum insulation kept power draw in check despite the heat on several stops in full sun, and my solar panels comfortably kept up for the whole trip. The TFT screen and app let me check both temperatures without getting out of bed on some cold mornings. The drawbacks: at 94 litres it takes up real space in the build, incompatible with an already tightly packed compact van, and its price, the highest in the Dometic range, really only makes sense for heavy use like mine. For anyone living on the road for weeks at a time, it remains remarkably capable.
