Straight out of the box, the MeacoFan 1056 signals a different standing from more affordable table fans: careful finish, a remote that clips magnetically onto the top of the unit, a display that dims automatically in the evening. But it's on quietness that the MeacoFan scores the most points. On the first few speeds, you genuinely have to get close to be sure it's running, a real asset for a bedroom or a shared office where background noise needs to stay minimal. The 12 speeds allow far finer adjustment than a simple 3 or 4-notch dial, and the ECO mode, which automatically adjusts ventilation based on room temperature, proved genuinely useful for keeping a room cool without manual intervention.
